04/05/2007: "Road opening"
The Forest Service will be opening the road to the Bristlecone Pines tomorrow 4/6. The road will be open as far as the Shulman Grove.
The Forest Service will also be opening the Mono Lake Visitor Center in Lee Vining today. It had been close for the winter season.
Guess it's time for me to start the Tioga Pass watch. I'm thinking it should open by Memorial Day this year.
