04/12/2007: "Tioga Pass"

It looks like a lot of people are wondering about the opening of Tioga Pass. I'm getting a lot of hits to last years Tioga Plowing Report. And the search words they're using are "Tioga Pass Opening". The official word on the National Park Service site is that plowing will start this coming Monday, the 16th.
Now, if you look at the Tioga Pass cam, you can see that a plow has been over the pass already. Have they started plowing from the east side? I can't tell ya. I can't find anything online about it.
One thing is for sure though, the pass will open pretty early this year. And it might even beat the record of April 29 set in '88.
