Hey PJ,
Our local weather guesser is calling for a stormy week this next week. There is a storm for tomorrow night and Sunday. Then another on Tuesday and still another for next weekend. But who knows for sure. This time of year anything can happen in the Sierra. It's impossible to tell what lies ahead for the next couple of weeks.
If you're going backpacking just bring enough gear for any kind of weather.
