Yosemite

Went over to Yosemite Valley yesterday to shoot the fall colors. Wow, they were awesome. The maples along the river and on the south side of the valley are beautiful right now. The dogwoods are looking nice, but I think they will be better this next week as they start to turn redish. The oaks are kind of hit and miss, some are looking good, others aren't. I didn't even shoot a single oak. We spent most of the late afternoon shooting along the river in the western part of the valley.

I am going to work on the pictures this afternoon, and shout have them online by this evening.

update on me

Hi guys,
Thought I'd give ya an update on myself and why it's been over a week since my last post. Everything is fine, I do have a nasty cold that's had me down for a few days, but I'm getting over it. I have been spending a lot of my time getting all of my pictures ready for SierraVisionsStock. There are over 200 pictures going onto the site. And because of the way I'm doing it, each picture has three files with it. So that's over 600 files I have been working on. I just finished the last one a few minutes ago. Now comes the uploading to the site and the captioning and keywording and all of the stuff I really don't like to do. But since I'm not famous enough to have a secretary, then I just have to suffer through it. That's whats been up for the last week. I'm getting close to opening SierraVisionsStock. My goal was to have it open this Sunday. It's most likely going to be some time at the end of next week now.

I'm going to put up a new picture for ya. It was shot the same day as the one that's up there now.

First storm of season

Looks like our little storm dropped about 3 inches up on Mammoth Mtn. I rained for a good part of the day here in Bishop, and then rained again last evening. I haven't been outside yet this morning, but yesterday afternoon, as the clouds were breaking up, it looked like Mt Tom had quite a bit of snow and it looked like it had came down to about the 8000 foot level. Not bad for an early Oct. storm.
I also know that Tioga and Sonora Passes are currently closed. I'm sure they will be open at some point today though.

I have got my problems fixed with SierraVisionsStock.com and I'm currently getting the images ready for it. I will be uploading the images over the next week, and as of right now, plan on opening up the site on the 22nd. That is if all goes well and the creeks don't rise smile

I was planning on giving a fall colors report yesterday. But with the storm I'm sure that my information is now out of date. I will get a report up the next time I head into the mountains.

I will get you guys a picture of the snow on the mountains in a little bit.

New Pics on the way

Hey guys,
I spent the most amazing day up Bishop Creek yesterday. The trees are just awesome right now, and with the cloud cover yesterday they were glowing so bright that it hurt your eyes to look at them smile
I will have a bunch of new pictures up sometime today. I'll let you know when.

I'm not sure, but I think the mountains have their first dusting of snow for the season. I can see that White Mtn Peak does. I can't get a good look at the Sierra from my house because of the trees, but from the glimpses I get I think they have snow too. It rained a bit here in Bishop overnight. I don't think to much though.
