Hi

Hey everyone,
Once again I’m sorry that I’m dragging on updates lately. I’ve got a ton of stuff on my mind right now and when that happens, the web site suffers for it.

Things are going well back here. Spring is in full swing, as are my allergies and sinuses, (I was really hoping that they’d stay in California, but they have followed me to Wisconsin.). The weather has been pretty nice. It’s been a fairly cool spring so far. Most days the temps are in the high 50′s to mid 60′s. Last week we hit near 80 and I had my first shorts day of the year. That day was followed by a major drop in the temp and our high was in the mid 40′s with nasty north winds.

We’ve been pretty lucky thunderstorm wise. Most of the real nasty storms have stayed to our south. We did have tornado watches posted for a day last week, but by the time the storms got to us here in Kenosha they had weakened quite a bit.

We did have a little storm come through this morning. Today should be interesting, they are calling for strong to severe storms for us today.

I did find out that June is the main month for tornadoes in Wisconsin. Oh boy!!

I’ll be making my final move from Madison this coming week. So by this time next week, I’ll be fully here in Kenosha. Hopefully once that is over with I can get focused on SierraVisions again and start updating more frequently.

And Once Again; SPAM!!!

Due to a major outburst of spam on the Through My Eyes Gallery, I have temporarily turned off the comments in the gallery. Not many people leave comments on there anyway, so it shouldn’t be missed.

This has nothing to do with leaving comments on SierraVisions. You can still leave comments here :-)

Sierra Views from a Plane

Just found some cool shots of the Sierra shot from a plane on Flickr. You can check them out at YAHQQLIGAN’s Photostream. The Mono Lake ones are pretty cool. I think one of the shots is Twin Lakes outside of Bridgeport. I couldn’t ID the other ones.

Wild Weather that’s not in WI

Who was it that said I was crazy moving to the Midwest because of tornadoes? I think it was one of you Orange County people, where, by the way, they happened to have a couple of tornadoes yesterday :-) I also saw that the ground was totally covered in hail somewhere in the OC.  The weather back here has been pretty nice. A little chilly the last few days, but no complaints from me. It’s much better than the mid 90s Bishop had last week.

That leads me to the weather for the weekend. It’s Memorial Day Weekend and Mules Days in Bishop, so that means the weather isn’t going to cooperate. There is a chance of snow in the mountains and thunderstorms in Bishop all weekend. The temps will be very cool with highs in the 40′s for the mountains and the 60′s for Bishop. Looks like folks will be bundling up for the Mule Shows at the fairgrounds.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend.
