I’m hoping for a few first hand reports myself in the next couple of days. Hopefully we’ll have some pictures too.
As for fall colors back here in Wisconsin, things are beginning to change. There are a few gorgeous maples changing down the road, but peak color in the this area is still a couple weeks off. We are expecting some cool weather to come in this week with highs in the upper 50’s to low 60’s and lows in the mid 40’s. This should really kick things into gear. I’m ready. All of these reports from Bishop Creek are driving me nuts and I need to get my fall color fix.
If anyone is interested, here is the site I’m following for fall color reports in Wisconsin:
Travel Wisconsin Fall Color Report
The map they have on this site is really cool. It tells you county by county where the trees are changing and how close they are to peak color. Kenosha County is the county at the very bottom right of the state. You can’t get anymore south-east than us.
As soon as I get some pictures, you’ll see them on here. It’s raining today so I don’t know if I’ll go out or not, but if the rain lets up this afternoon I may go try to find some trees.
