One Week Snow Totals

December 27th, 2008 Author:

It’s been a heck of a week for snow in the Sierra. Check out the snowfall totals from the 19th through the 26th.

  •  Northstar at Tahoe…..65 inches
  • Sierra at Tahoe…………80 inches
  • Squaw Valley…………….81 inches
  • Kirkwood…………………..120 inches
  • Mammoth Mtn………….142 inches

Back here in Wisconsin we haven’t seen these kind of numbers of course, but it’s still been one of the snowiest Decembers on record,  (And the records go back 125 years here.).

This is currently the 2nd snowiest December for Milwaukee.
For Madison it’s the 1st. In fact if Madison gets 2 more inches it will be the snowiest month ever for Madison.

In Kenosha we have seen snow fall on 19 of the 27 days so far in December. More snow if forecast to fall tonight and tomorrow morning.

Christmas Day

It’s beautiful here in Kenosha today. Little chilly out there, 14 degrees currently, but the sun is shining and the wind isn’t blowing a bit. We’re getting ready to head over to the Racine Harbor and take Scout for a walk. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Day.

 Welcome Christmas,
Bring your cheer
Cheer to all Who’s, far and near

Christmas day is in our grasp,
So long as we have hands to clasp

Christmas day will always be,
Just as long as we have we

Welcome Christmas,
While we stand,
Heart to heart and hand in hand
