Scenes from Norfolk, VA

Here are some random scenes from our trip to Norfolk, VA. They were taken in and around Norfolk and include shots from Virginia Beach and Portmouth. I’ve included images taken by both of us and tell who’s picture it is in the caption. All in all we had a good trip. We did have issues with Scout in the van but we dealt with them as best as we could. For me it was a trip filled with first, including 3 new states and seeing the Atlantic Ocean for the first time. I’ll tell you more about that later.

Back Home

Just a quick note to let you guys know that we made it back home this afternoon. 2300 miles total and 8 states covered in this trip. We had a good time and got to see some cool things, but it sure feels good to be home. I’ll get some pics up in the coming days.

It’s Official

We’re in Virginia and it’s now official, I’ve driven from sea to shining sea. Saw the Atlantic ocean for the first time this evening. Walked along the beach and got my feet wet :-)

The trip has gone well so far. Haven’t taken many pictures yet, when you’re driving there just isn’t time. Really enjoyed driving through the mountains in West Virginia and Virginia. It felt good to drive on some winding roads again. It also feels great to be in some warm weather. Had temps in the 70′s yesterday and it was wonderful.

I’ll try to get some pics up for you guys in the next few days but can’t promise anything.
