Bring on the cold!

January 13th, 2009 Author: Steven

We may have a few new visitors to SierraVisions today. My post Top Images of 2008 is listed in Jim Goldstein’s post Best Photos of 2008 by JMG-Galleries Blog Readers. I submitted the post when he asked for readers of his blog, JMG-Galleries.com to do that. I’m listed at #9 of 92 other sites. (Go check out Jim’s list. I’m looking forward to exploring it myself. Also, check out his site. He’s a great photographer and shares his knowledge of photography daily on his blog.)

I would like to give a warm welcome to all of you who are new to SierraVisions. You’ll find SierraVisions to be an interesting mix of California mountains, (Where I use to live.) with Wisconsin and the Midwest, (Where I now live. ). I pretty much post every day and try to keep things interesting and entertaining. So have a look around and enjoy.

Now down to business. Did you guys see  the temperatures up in Alaska last week? They had temps in the -50′s. That wasn’t the wind chill, that was the temp. Well that cold air pool is beginning to move into the Midwest today. And though it’s not bringing temps as low as Alaska saw, we’re still going to get cold. Here’s the forecast for the next 5 days in Kenosha:

  • Tues… High 14, Low -4
  • Wed…. High 16, Low -8
  • Thurs. High -2,   Low -12
  • Fri…… High 9,   Low 4
  • Sat….. High 20, Low 11

Wind chills for Wed. night and Thurs. are forecast to be -29 to -40!!

Boy that 20 is going to feel good on Saturday!!

We are also expecting up to 4 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. We got about an inch last night.  It’s currently 6 outside with a windchill of -14.

Anyone want to donate a trip to Key West for Lynne and I ;-)
