The calm before the storm II
It’s cloudy and still outside this morning. Everything is damp from the rain we had yesterday and last night. Things seem calm and peaceful. That may change by afternoon though. Today could be my first day of severe thunderstorms since moving back here.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast for this afternoon and evening for southern Wisconsin. Heavy rain, hail, and as always, a chance of tornadoes are forecast. It could get interesting!
Lynne and I will be heading to Madison this afternoon so I may be able to get some cool pictures. I’ve charged the camera battery and the camcorder battery, I’m ready to go. Wish me luck.

Awesome – stay safe. I love wild weather like that but not when it becomes dangerous.
BTW my wife and I are currently in New York City right now for a week’s vacation. We took the red-eye flight out of LA last Monday and sometime in the middle of the night I awoke from my dozing and looked out and realized we were right over Chicago, and could see the west shore of Lake Michigan (as outlined by city lights and rural lights) extending north as far as the eye could see. I’m guessing I could see into Wisconsin but I’m not sure how far. Nevertheless I thought of you and Lynne. I can safely report that it was dark and mostly clear in Wisconsin at that moment.
Cool, thanks for the thoughts Karl. I wouldn’t doubt that some of the lights to the north were Kenosha. Hope you’re having a good time in the Big Apple.
Totally bragging here, but the wife and I scored tickets to David Letterman next Monday night, so be sure to tune in. I also got my picture taken with Rupert Jee of Hello Deli yesterday.
Enough about me, how did the weather go in Wisconsin today?
