Doing Some Reminiscing
As the two year anniversary of my move from California to Wisconsin approaches, I’ve been doing some reminiscing. I’ve just spent a good portion of this morning traveling back in time by reading some of my archived blog posts.
It’s pretty interesting to go back and read the old posts. I mostly concentrated my first three months here in Wisconsin. Back when everything was new and exciting. There seemed to be new discoveries around every corner. My enthusiasm and enjoyment for my first Wisconsin winter really shows through. Even shoveling snow was a great pleasure back then.
Those first few months are a very special part of my life. My life was being reborn and all of the scattered pieces were beginning to come back together. I truly loved living in Madison. Looking back now, I see that Madison was a time of transition for me. It was the bridge between my old life in California and my new life in Wisconsin. I treasure those few months that I lived there. It’s so wonderful to be able to look back at my blog archives and relive those memories again.

Steven – yes, i remember your writing from that time, you had a lot going on. it was all new, very exciting, with many decisions to make.
That’s neat. In a way, for the rest of us, you were like a probe being sent to the moon – reporting back all of your findings.
It felt like the moon at times.
