Eric the Desert Rat
I’ve been talking to Eric the Desert Rat for a number of years now. We’ve never met, but have emailed each other many times, sharing information about California photography. It seems like every time Eric comes up to the Eastern Sierra something comes up and we don’t get a chance to meet. I’m sure we’ll try again this summer.
Eric’s web site, Desert Rat’s Photo Galleries, is filled with great images of the Sierra Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah and other western states. He also has a large gallery of wildlife, with many bird images. I think my personal favorites are his panoramic images. He has a great eye for shooting panos. A few of his panos are shot in ways you wouldn’t expect, like his vertical pano of Vernal and Nevada Falls from Glacier Point in Yosemite. I think my favorite is his pano of Half Dome and Clouds Rest from Olmsted Point.
