Hey guys. Hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th yesterday. We had a very mellow and somewhat lazy day yesterday. Watched the beginning of the Tour de France in the morning, then watched the Brewers kick the Cubs butts in the afternoon. Then spent the evening keeping Scout calm on the worst day of the year for him.

I have to apologize to anyone who missed Railroad Earth yesterday. In the post about it I put the time as seven o’clock. I failed to mention that was seven o’clock eastern time. I missed the first hour of the show because I didn’t realize the times they gave on the site were eastern. We are central time here in WI. Then I thought about all of you in the pacific time zone and how I might have really messed you up. If you missed it because of me, I’m sorry. I’m hoping that iClips archives the show so we can see it later. The last half hour was awesome.

On Friday we took a drive up to Lake Winnebago to check out the lighthouses on the lake. We had an awesome day. It was truly a picture perfect day. I’ll get those pictures up and tell you about the trip this week. Until then, here is a little teaser from Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. This is the most beautiful park I’ve ever been in. We went there to see the Fond du Lac Lighthouse, but look what else we found.

Lynne came running over to me and told me I had to follow her. She had rounded a corner and there it was, this beautiful covered bridge. I have so much more to show you from this trip. I guess it will be the theme of the week.
