Happy New Year
This past year had been a hell of a ride for me. In fact I can honestly say it’s been the worse year of my life. But there have been some good things amongst the bad. One of the best things in my life this past year has been all of you guys. Your love, support and understanding have meant the world to me. You guys have helped me through the tough times and have encouraged me to continue on and keep moving forward. In the process I feel that we’ve all become close and dear friends. I know I’ve thanked you a hundred times, but here’s one more for the road.
Thank you all for everything you’ve given me this last year.
To all of you I give this New Years wish;
May your 2008 be filled with happiness, contentment, joy, and peace.
May your lives be filled with love and caring.
May you all find strength and support when you need it.
And may your lives be filled with all of the gifts our world has to offer.

Cecil & I are with his folks this weekend and I checked your website for updates. His folks are 90+ and his Dad was to have a knee replaced on Friday….it didn’t happen. We are on hold now for that and don’t know if it will even happen. Anyway, Cecil & I do enjoy your site daily….if not several times of day. I don’t know what I do if I couldn’t get my Sierra Fix for the day. We love the pictures of your new home. I know that 2008 will be a great year for you. Take care…….

(sigh) What is the redhead to do with you …? You make me want to get in my truck and drive to my friend’s home in Folsom, gather them, then drive up to see you. I am sorry to see you write about this being the worst year of your life. I remember well the year following my Dad dying in front of me … all the firsts without him… a dark, dark place I slowly climbed out of. You have such talent and are so young, Steve, I think the universe has special plans for you. Our darkest hours often transform our lives into our greatest accomplishments.
