About a week ago I was at Petrifying Springs Park here in Kenosha and I had some nice ideas for pictures, but I couldn’t take them that day because of the wind. I’ve been waiting and hoping for a windless, cloudy day since. I got it yesterday. Here’s some of the pictures from Pets.

WOW – that red tree is REALLY RED ! Wowzee !
Kathleen, that picture doesn’t even do the tree justice. The color really isn’t red, it’s like a deep purplish-pink color. It’s truly amazing. There’s no way a camera can capture that tree’s true color.
Gorgeous, Steven. Glad you’re getting your Fall Color “fix” in such beautiful country. The Eastern Sierra finally produced a decent show the past week or so.
I knew the aspens would come through in the ES. I’ve seen years like this before. Everyone was thinking it was over and I’m sitting here in WI saying, “Just wait, give it time.” It may take them awhile, but June Lake, Lee Vining Canyon and Lundy Lake always put on a good show.
