Sierra Nevada Cams

Please Read

I’ve reorganized the cams.  They are now listed by geographic location as follows

  • Southern Sierra ……. Tehachapi to Hume Lake
  • Central Sierra ……… Aubery to Bear Valley
  • Northern Sierra ……. Kirkwood to Mt Lassen
  • Lake Tahoe ………… Cams in and around the Tahoe Basin
  • Eastern Sierra …….. Cams along and near Hwy 395

They are then listed roughly south to north within their categories.
You can read more about the changes here.

~~The California WebCams are now updated with all your suggestions,
including a link to all CalTrans Traffic Cams.~~

To add a cam please leave a comment below with the link to the cam.

Thought you folks might like this. Check out the timelapse website I found. It tracks and compiles images of all sorts of webcams. Plus you can set new webcams to track.

That’s pretty cool. I’ll have to play around with that some. Thanks for the link.

Hey I got my webcam on there! In the hour since it’s been on you can see the fog go from dark grey to slightly-less dark grey!

Here’s a link to many traffic cams on 5, including one on the Grapevine: http://www.medfordfuel.com/Interstate_5_California.htm

Caltrans also has some additional cams at the base of the Grapevine (the Bakersfield side) at: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist6/cctv/allcams.htm

Amazingly they don’t have any public cams thru the pass, which seems bizarre to me.

white mountain is FINALLY back up & running. It’s about time. They probably had to take the snow-cat to get up there and fix it.

Please note that Mt Lassen is actually in the Cascades. It’s the first volcano heading north in the chain…

Just an FYI…

You have a great page…

I don’t know if this is worthy of listing but Channel 47 in Fresno has just put up a whole slew of tower cams that are “aimable” – including toward the Sierra Nevada – which could be spectacular on a clear day (unlike today). Anyway, they’ve got two cams in Fresno, one in Visalia and one in Madera. The Visalia and Fresno cams have “pre-set” buttons – things the camera will automatically aim at – including the Sierras. As a bonus they’ve got cams set up this week at the World Famous Tulare Farm Ag Expo – for all you ag types. Go to:
