The Snow is on the way California. Here’s the 8 day forecast for snow depth in the west.

    tioga pass to close for the “winter”? i guess we’ll see.

    108, 89, 120 have all closed their “passes” over the mountains in anticipation of this storm, per the Cal Trans website.

    I’m sure all the ski resort operators are getting ready to pop their champagne bottles in antciplation of some REAL snow coming !

    Finally the web cams will show some white stuff! It is so odd to see Gull Lake and Crowley de-icing in January. Maybe the temperatures will drop and stay that way for a month.

    Come on Snow! The ski resorts can’t rely on their water alottment forever to keep making it.

    Finally!! 4 am Sat and the Mammoth webcam is showing snow in town! And it is raining good here in Independence!!
