Snowflake Pictures
Lynne and I came home from shopping about 4 o’clock this afternoon and it was snowing lightly out. As we pulled into the drive I noticed that the flakes landing on the window of the truck were perfectly formed snowflakes and they were good sized ones too. Some of them were easily a 1/4 inch in diameter. I told Lynne that I thought I could get some pictures of them. Well, here they are.
These aren’t the most technically perfect shots I’ve ever taken, but it was cloudy, the sun was going down, and I was to lazy to set up the tripod so I shot them at 1600 ISO so I could hand hold the shots. But even though they are very noisy and some aren’t in the best of focus, I still think they came out pretty cool. I’m already thinking about ways that I can do a better job next time.
All of these have been zoomed and cropped in Photoshop. Also, they were all on the dirty, tinted windows of my truck. So please excuse the ugly backgrounds.

Really awesome photos. Hey, two of those are EXACTLY the same!!
Crazy Cool!!
Wow, amazing…….this is really something, never seen anything like this before. I’m sure you can enter these into something and win win win…… thanks, Steve
These are great images. Thanks for sharing.
totally cool
I find those absolutely remarkable! Wow! I came to your site via Robin’s and am glad I did. Happy Birthday, Steven! (You could make brushes of those in Photoshop… really amazing)
Those are just astounding!!! What a treat to see them and… Happy Belated Birthday!!! Hope it was very special and that the year ahead is richly blessed… Now.. bundle-up, while I sit here in the Santa Monica Mts., with the Santa Ana winds blowing and the temperature to hit the 80 plus range! Yup… it is a nice day, but… where did our winter go? Lisa
