Tammy Memorial and other things

September 4th, 2007 Author:

I don’t know how many of you realized it, but Sunday was the 6 month anniversary of Tammy’s passing, so needless to say I had a pretty sad and depressed weekend. But I’m feeling better today after a nice long drive to Yosemite and back.

I wanted to let you guys know that we are having Tammy’s memorial on the 22nd of this month. If you are in the area and would like to come you guys are more than welcome. We will be having the memorial at 2:00 pm on the 22nd at our house in Bishop. If you’d like to come, please email me and I will give you directions to the house.

Also, we have started a memorial fund in Tammy’s name at the University of Wisconsin Liver and Digestive Disease Center.
Tammy was born in Madison Wisconsin, the home of the University of Wisconsin, and lived there until she moved to Phoenix in her twenties. She loved her Badgers dearly.

If you’d like to send a donation it can be sent to this address;

University of Wisconsin Foundation
US Bank Lockbox
PO Box 78807
Milwaukee, WI  53278-0807

Please put in the memo of the check “In memory of Tammy Mulrooney-Bourelle”

I have to thank all of you once again for all of your love and support for the last seven months. I was re-reading some of your comments from Feb and March the other week and I’m still blown away from all of the love.

    Stay strong.

  2. Dear Steve,
Being a new fan of your work and blog I made the assumption that you are this happily married guy taking photographs of some beautiful country. I had no idea, until tonight what you have been through. I went back through your old posts and read the story of you. I am so sorry.
My Dad died in front of me when I was 18 and it changed my life forever. It wasn’t until I had my son Brian that I realized I finally was putting my whole heart and soul on the line again. I always picked relationships where the guy wasn’t “this” or “that” so that I didn’t have to get too close. Having a child changed all that and it feels great to love unconditionally with complete abandon. I don’t know about the adult-with-guy relationship part yet, but Brian has opened my heart completely.
I hope you know that when you read my blog that I intend to make us laugh about the little things in life. I do value every day and the people who love me.
God must have a very special plan for you, because it is obvious that you are an amazing person.
    Hugs,
    Catherine

    Steve,
Hope you find peace. I’m sure your bride would want that for you.
