Greetings:
Here is a report from today’s fall color safari:Drove over to Hope Valley from Bishop today. Hope Valley has some nice
colors, with some green left in the mix. Top of Monitor pass is 90%
yellow. The lower elevations still have a lot of green.
Lundy Canyon – The big Aspen Grove at the 2nd Beaver pond is still
green. There are some nice colors along the canyon walls. There is more
Beaver activity visible, the little critters dropped about for Aspen
trees along the road up there.
The 1st Beaver pond is mostly green. There are a few yellow patches
along the road. Most of Lundy Lake is still green, with a few patches
of yellow.
Lee Vining Canyon is mostly green with a few patches of color.Colors are turning slow this week. The rain and snow that is predicted
Friday/Saturday is either turning everything black or kick start the
