Weather Next week
If you are planning on being in the backcountry this coming week be prepared for winter weather. There are a number of storms heading into the Sierra starting tonight, with the stronger storms starting on Tuesday. At the moment there is a chance of up to six inches of snow in the backcountry by Thursday and they are forecasting temps in the teens and high winds.

Drove up and down 395 this weekend. My husband and I are now proud owners of a new house in Smith, Nevada. California is just to expensive to retire in. The colors along the Sierra’s were breathtaking. I also stopped along Conway Summit to take pictures. Since lately we have made many trips up 395, one of my daughters asked if I was tiring of the long drive, I said never. It is the most beautiful drive in the world!!!
