Weather Update

November 9th, 2008 Author: Steven

Hmm….
Yesterday I looked at the weekend weather for the Sierra and it said a chance of snow. Today I look at the Mammoth cams and notice quite a bit of snow. So I look at the snow report for Mammoth Mtn and they got a foot of snow over night. Guess that’s a little more than  a chance.

But now I read that temps in Bishop later this week could hit the 80′s. Only one other time has Bishop hit 80 in November.

Winter has finally made it’s way back here to Wisconsin. Yesterday we had a high of 40 with a wind chill in the low 30′s and a cold rain falling off and on. Today our high was 32, (It’s now 30 out.)  the windchill is in the low 20′s and light snow flurries have started this afternoon.

The funny thing is, in a couple more months a day like today will be warm :-)

We got a little snow here in Big Bear on saturday. The Ski Resorts made some snow too. Winter is just about here now. =)

Btw, Saturday the 15th is the Anniversary Lense Lighting at Pigeon Point Lighthouse. So if any of the readers here are in or going to be in the bay area next weekend they may want to check it out.

    Here’s some info.

We’re celebrating thanksgiving early this year with my wife’s family in Sonoma, so we’re heading there Saturday to take some photos.

Phew I can’t imagine living in a place where it gets that cold. How do ya do it, Steve? It’s already feeling cold and damp here in the Valley and the low sun angle and early sunsets are getting me feeling a bit depressed already. Can’t imagine living any place where it gets colder, the sun is lower and goes down sooner than here.
