Website Layout Problems?

September 1st, 2009 Author: Steven

Is anyone out there having issues with how the website looks?

Is the right sidebar on the right? Or is it on the bottom of the page?

I have a report that the sidebar is on the bottom of the page instead of where it belongs. I’ve checked the site in all of my browsers and it looks fine, but all of my browsers are up to date. I’m thinking that older versions of Internet Explorer are causing the problem.

Let me know what you guys see. Thanks!

To me the sidebars are on the sides, all is right with the world.

Yes, I just viewed it on Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.x
The right sidebar is pushed to the right bottom of the page. In my opinion, this is not a problem, browsers should be upgraded to at least IE7 or IE8 (I don’t have access to these versions). Probably what’s happening is many people at work are stuck on IE6 and cannot upgrade (many companies are using IE6 to support thier in-house legacy applications, like me). However, I can also use Firefox 3.0.x which is ok.

Speaking as one who uses Safari, it all looks good to me.

Ive narrowed the problem down to IE6. This is a common problem with WordPress and IE6. Web page coding has changed to the point that IE6 doesn’t understand some of it. There is a fix though and I’ll be working on it in the future. It’s not a high priority right now.
