“Where in the Sierra is it” Pic #2
For all of you that guessed North Lake up Bishop Creek on the last picture, give yourself a point because you were right!!
Here is a new one for you. This one might be a little harder.

Could that be the Sierras taken from Bridgeport?
I’d say long valley with Mt. Morrison in the background and I think Hot creek in the foreground.
I vote Owens River with Mt. Tom and others in background.
yes it looks like Bridgeport
Owens River. I hope you dont want more details!! Thanks Steven.. This is fun.
This shot looks like it was taken from Hot Creek or the lower Owens looking West toward Mt. Morrison, Bloody and Laurel Mtns.
Owens River, on the road that takes you to Happy Boulders and the petroglyphs. That’s Mt Humphries and Mt Tom in the background. Bessie and Jack in the foreground
Not to mention, a beautiful shot!
Wait, I don’t think I am agreeing with myself this morning…..how about McGee? Can’t be my former guess, as Humphries isn’t pointed enough and the Buttermilks aren’t prominent enough. I recognize the line of green, I think. Amazing how different everything looks with some snow cover. Bet the Sierra isn’t looking so white this winter, eh? Thanks!
Owens river on the road to Benton looking back at Mt. Morrison.
Just off HWY 395, between Toms Place and South end of Crowley Lake, facing Mt. Morrison and Seviah Cliff.
That there pic looks like it could be the valley at Bridgeport. But even if it’s not, it sure is a pretty one!
okay…I think I have had a change of heart…I now vote Bridgeport looking towards Coleville/Walker on the right side.
The Long Years section of the Owens River, looking West.
hot creek towards convict lake
I was fluctuating between the Owens River by Crowley Lake and the area around Bridgeport and found that is where everyone else seemed to be focusing, as well. That doesn’t count does it? So… I will stick to the Owens River… though you did say it would be harder and I actually think that is an area that gets more visiters. Took a great drive there myself in the old RV in the fall. It was beautiful, empty, fresh air! Hey.. I am missing it now…
